The value for money was great, with clean and well-furnished rooms. The location was convenient, and the staff treated me like family.
The breakfast menu could have been more varied.

The atmosphere was like a big family, with friendly and helpful volunteers. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the rooftop was a great hangout spot. The small beach nearby and the wonderful view from the terrace were a bonus. Despite some noise during the day from airplanes, the overall vibe was calm and enjoyable. The location was a bit far from supermarkets and surf spots, but the good vibes and fresh coffee in the mornings made up for it. I would highly recommend this hostel.

Friendly staff, great location overlooking the sea, and good wifi. The staff and volunteers were relaxed and helpful, making me feel safe and relaxed during my stay. The town was lovely, with plenty of shops and supermarkets, and I enjoyed cycling to nearby towns. The weather was perfect, and the car drivers were respectful of cyclists on the main road.
As it is a hostel, it can get noisy in the evenings, so I would recommend bringing earplugs. It is also a bit of a walk from the main town, but renting a bike from the hostel for a low price made getting around quick and easy.

The breakfast was the same every day, which got boring after a few days. The kitchen was always crowded and noisy, even late at night. Some rooms were in the basement and got dirty easily. The cleanliness of the hostel was not up to par, as it was mostly maintained by volunteers. The sinks and showers were also dirty.
On the positive side, the view from the terrace was nice. The staff was friendly and accommodating, although they were not very prompt in cleaning the showers or replacing dirty cloths in the kitchen.

our recent stay in el medano was amazing, but Aloe Vera Shared House took it to another level! The room was clean and cozy, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the beach was just a few steps away. We even got to borrow a surfboard and catch some waves. Can't wait to come back next summer!
Kitchen area could use more space.

The staff was friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with any needs. The rooms were clean and well-organized, exactly as shown in the pictures. The kitchen was spacious and allowed everyone to have their own space. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beautiful beach and hiking trail. Additionally, the coastal city was only a 10-20 minute walk away, offering a nice balance of tourist attractions and a more laid-back environment.
It could get a bit chaotic at times with so many people staying in the shared house. It was sometimes difficult to differentiate between guests and staff.

During our stay at Aloe Vera Shared House, we were impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had an unforgettable experience. They provided us with valuable recommendations for activities to do on the island, making our trip even more enjoyable. The kitchen was well-equipped and the bathrooms were impeccably clean. We loved having access to the swimming pool and the terrace, perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun. The breakfast spread was delicious, offering a variety of options to satisfy everyone's taste. The location of the hostel in a peaceful area added to the overall tranquility of our stay. We also appreciated the effort put into maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the premises. we had a fantastic time at Aloe Vera Shared House and would highly recommend it to others.
Although our stay was wonderful, there were a few minor drawbacks. Without a car, it can be a bit challenging to explore the surrounding areas, unless you take the bus.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, giving us a warm introduction and showing us around. The room was great value and had a comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. We also enjoyed the mix of guests, creating a friendly atmosphere. The location was convenient for easy access to the nearby beaches and the town. Additionally, there were plenty of recommended excursions, such as dolphin and whale spotting, snorkelling with turtles, and kayaking.
The cleanliness of the house left much to be desired. It was unclean and in poor condition, with broken and old kitchen equipment.

We stayed at a lovely shared house with friendly staff, a beautiful garden, and a roof terrace. The location was peaceful, overlooking the sea, and the staff were always willing to help. The town nearby, with its shops and eateries along the seafront, was a pleasant place to explore. We also enjoyed cycling to the nearby town of Los Abrigos, which offered scenic views. The overall experience was safe and relaxing, especially for a solo traveler like me.
Nothing I didn't like to be fair. 😊
